Gayco Healthcare named Roxanna Thigpin Employee of the Quarter on March 14, 2012. Thigpin is employed as a pharmacy technician with Gayco. She has worked with the company since October 2010. Thigpin is Gayco’s first Employee of the Quarter. In the fall, Gayco launched the Opportunity of Improvement (OFI). OFI allows employees to make system improvement suggestions. Employee of the Quarter/Year was born from an OFI. “Peers nominate for Employee of the Quarter,” said Bent Gay, president. “Then a selection team reviews and makes the final decision.” A yearly award will be selected from the four quarterly winners. Thigpin was recognized by her co-workers for her willingness to always help others, staying on task, being on time, never complaining, and being a great teacher. A comment on her nomination form was, “She is all around a great worker.” When asked a quote that she lives by, Thigpin said, “I try to put God first and live life to the fullest, because you never know what tomorrow will hold.” “She is an outstanding choice for our first award,” Gay said.
